Penn Capital is dedicated to being a partner in our community by combining our corporate resources with community needs through charitable contributions and employee involvement.
Penn Capital is dedicated to being an active partner in supporting our community through charitable contributions. Through our Penn Capital PRIME (Philadelphia Regional Investing Mentorship Experience) program, we are working to empower high school girls to become tomorrow’s leaders. Penn Capital’s dedication to providing educational opportunities for students originates from the Ethel Mae Hocker Foundation’s mission to provide educational opportunities to elementary and high school students, who demonstrate academic excellence and financial need. This Foundation is privately funded by Rich and Marcia Hocker and since 2005 has awarded over 400 scholarships to students in the Philadelphia area, New Jersey, California, and South Carolina. In addition to the established philanthropic programs at Penn Capital, we support other organizations within the community including the following:
- Thirty Percent Coalition. As an Institutional Investor and Member of the Thirty Percent Coalition. Penn Capital supports the Coalition’s mission “to promote gender diversity, including women of color, on corporate boards”.
- Anti-Defamation League. Penn Capital is a corporate sponsor in the Walk Against Hate, supporting the Anti-Defamation League in fighting all forms of bigotry and hate.
